Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our organization's employees and clients. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technology systems and resolving any IT-related issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:
·         Provide technical support: Respond to and resolve IT support requests from employees and clients in a timely and efficient manner. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, network connectivity problems, and printer or peripheral device malfunctions.
·         Install and configure systems: Set up and install computer systems, software applications, and peripheral devices for new employees. Ensure that all systems are properly configured, updated, and secured according to organizational policies and standards.
·         Maintain IT infrastructure: Monitor and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, network equipment, and other hardware components. Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as system backups, software updates, and antivirus scans, to ensure optimal performance and security.
·         User account management: Administer user accounts and access privileges for various systems and applications. This includes creating and disabling user accounts, managing password resets, and ensuring compliance with security protocols.
·         Provide training and documentation: Conduct training sessions or create user guides to educate employees on using various software applications and technology tools effectively. Develop and maintain documentation for IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and FAQs to assist users in resolving common issues independently.
·         Identify and escalate issues: Analyze and diagnose complex technical problems to determine the appropriate course of action. If necessary, escalate issues to higher-level support teams or vendors, and follow up until the problems are resolved.
·         IT inventory management: Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including computers, peripherals, software licenses, and network devices. Track asset assignments, perform regular audits, and coordinate equipment upgrades or replacements as needed.
·         Stay up to date with technology trends: Keep abreast of emerging technologies, industry best practices, and security threats. Continuously expand your knowledge and skills through professional development and training opportunities.


Requirements:
·         Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar role.
·         Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware, software, networks, and troubleshooting techniques.
·         Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, mac OS, Linux) and common business software applications (Microsoft Office, email clients, etc.).
·         Basic understanding of network protocols, server administration, and security principles.
·         Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
·         Customer-oriented mindset and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
·         Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
·         Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
